BETTER SMALL WONDER - NANO CAR













January 2008 was a great day for Indian automotive industry; Tata Motors launched the world’s first cheapest small car. The small car Tata Nano was first announced and displayed by Shri Ratan Tata, the chairman of Tata Motors at Delhi Auto Expo in 2008 and costing around USD$2500 including road tax. Indian middle class population was excited to buy this car, but it was manufactured in limited numbers as the production capacity of Pantnagar plant in Uttarakhand was less, even at new Gujarat plant the manufacturing capacity was just upto 350,000 units which made the people to stay in queue for receiving the delivery against the bookings.The baby Tata is now available in a wider palette of colors.

Nano Specification:-

Tata Nano comes up with 2 cylinders with the Engine displacement of 624/3 getting Power (BHP) up to 35/4.9 petrol engine giving the top speed of 106 (KPH) delivering 34 HP at 5250rpm steel with hubcaps and alloy wheels for comfort. Split and folding rear seats with tachometer, trip meter and an estimated  mileage of 18 KM/L in city 23 KM/L on highway.
